Anyone drink Mona Vie while pregnant?
Specifically, did you drink the regular or the active? I’ve had conflicting people tell me different things. One person said the active is not recommended for pregnant woman, and the other said either the regular or the active is okay. Anyone take the Active while pregnant?
Uummm, I took the regular earlier in my pregnancy and felt great. I was wondering just about the active because it contains glucosamine & condroitin (for joints). I’m not sure what else the “active” contains. I’m not really worried about taking acai berry, though, mostly because I spread out a bottle for almost 2 months (instead of 1).
According to http://www.drugs.com/npp/acai.html “Information regarding safety and efficacy in pregnancy and lactation is lacking”.
There aren’t typically any pregnancy warnings on supplements of Acai, whether it be the MonaVie brand or any other brand and it is just a fruit, so most people don’t see it as a problem… but like Drugs.com says, there isn’t enough research to say conclusively. Personally, I would err on the side of caution… when in doubt, leave it out.

[edit]: Well, Glucosamine and Chondroitin are considered safe during pregnancy, so that added aspect should cause no problems. You should be able to check with a dealer to see what other added ingredients are put in the “active” one and if you’d like to E-mail me those ingredients, I can certainly take a look for you.
