Why did the cells catch syanobacteria 1,4 milliard years ago ?
Eucaryotic cells that is. Why did that bacteria enter them ? By accident or is nutrition the reason ? Nutrition of the cells I mean.

Ok first off let’s correct the vocabulary. It’s Cyanobacteria and Million years ago. The cells would have actually begun merging roughly 1.4 – 2.1 Billion years ago. The theory with how the cyanobacteria and other prokaryotes were brought into the cells that eventually became the eukaryotes was by ingestion. One cell would attempt to eat the other but due to some random mutation, say like a resistance to the digestive materials or something like that, the ingested cell would not deteriorate all the way. In time they would take on specialized tasks. This is how we formed the Endoplasmic Reticulum, the Mitochondria and how plants ended up with Chloroplasts (which is what developed from the cyanobacteria). Just remember, it was no accident that one cell ate another, it was random chance that preserved some of the ingested cells though.
